Overview:
The SEO Research & Digital Strategy Assistant will lead a project-based initiative focused on improving search engine optimization (SEO) for Concordia Texas’s top-enrolling and high-growth potential programs, including Nursing, Business, Kinesiology, Computer Science, and Psychology. This position is ideal for a student with strong analytical and research skills, an interest in digital marketing, and a strategic mindset. The assistant will conduct keyword research, analyze competitors, and provide actionable insights to enhance the university’s website visibility and organic traffic.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conduct SEO research to identify high-impact keywords and search trends related to Concordia Texas’s key academic programs.
- Analyze competitor websites and industry benchmarks to determine best practices for content optimization.
- Develop a keyword strategy for each program, recommending terms that align with student search behavior.
- Provide recommendations for web content updates to improve rankings for targeted programs.
- Work with the Communications and Marketing team to ensure findings align with broader digital marketing goals.
- Present a final report and strategy outlining recommendations for SEO improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Project Timeline:
This is a project-based position with a defined start and end date, allowing for flexible scheduling while ensuring timely completion of research and strategy development.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong analytical and research abilities with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with SEO principles, keyword research tools (Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.), and digital marketing strategies.
- Experience with Google Analytics, website content, or marketing research is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and present findings in a clear, actionable format.
