Overview:
The Digital Content Creator will play a key role in developing SEO-optimized blogs and web content that highlight Austin as a hub for student learning, internships, and career opportunities. This position is ideal for a student with strong writing skills, digital content creation experience, and the ability to work independently. The job requires at least 3 office hours per week, but the majority of the work can be completed remotely, after hours, or on weekends.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Research and write SEO-optimized blog posts about industries and communities in Austin that align with Concordia Texas’s programs and learning opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a dedicated section of the website showcasing Austin as a city for students to learn, gain internships, and build careers.
- Curate and produce engaging content that connects prospective and current students to opportunities in Austin.
- Receive and apply training on SEO best practices to improve website visibility and engagement.
- Work closely with the Communications and Marketing team to ensure content aligns with the university’s messaging.
- Conduct interviews and gather insights from students, faculty, and industry professionals when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in content creation, blogging, or digital marketing.
- Strong research and writing skills with the ability to create engaging, informative content.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices (training will be provided).
- Basic knowledge of web content management systems (WordPress, Wix, or similar) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple content projects.
