POSITION SUMMARY
The Student Success Case Manager provides specialized collaboration in retention and support services. In collaboration with Faculty, Academic Planners, Financial Planners, and the Behavioral Intervention Support Team, the Student Success Case Manager is responsible for the successful utilization of case management software. The Student Success Case Manager will work closely across departments to holistically address the academic, personal, and social needs of students, with a particular focus on supporting underrepresented/underserved student populations. us to support students using a data- informed, comprehensive approach which leverages the expertise, influence, and resources of campus partners to support student learning and remove barriers to students’ success. This case management approach requires the Student Success Case Manager to have an existing knowledge of student support, student services, the ability to connect and communicate effectively across the University to disclose trends and areas of retention and graduation concerns. The Student Success Case Manager will be responsible for the organization of the Behavioral Intervention Support Team.
This position is funded by Concordia’s Title V Con Corazon grant.
POSITION FUNCTIONS
- Develop and implement technology solutions for tracking student cases, such as Navigate and Maxient.
- Coordinate and deliver training sessions for faculty and staff on relevant processes and tools.
- Create and update procedures for reporting early alerts and managing student cases across campus.
- Lead and evaluate student success campaigns and outreach initiatives.
- Collect and analyze data from case management systems to report on retention and graduation efforts.
- Coordinate high-impact retention strategies across the University, focusing on building strong relationships with key student success personnel.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of case management outcomes, with a focus on key student populations.
- Perform administrative tasks that align with the institution’s strategic goals, such as assisting students during key enrollment periods and supporting retention efforts.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with faculty, staff, students, and families.
- Ability to build rapport and exercise tact and good judgment when providing academic, personal, and social support to students, including a solid understanding of and adherence to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- Proficiency in using standard office equipment and technology, including software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working with underrepresented and underserved populations is preferred.
- Experience with Navigate360, Maxient and Microsoft Excel is preferred, but not required.
Education and Experience:
- Master’s Degree (preferred) in higher education leadership, counseling, social work, or a related field.
- Ability to articulate and model the mission, vision, and values of Concordia University Texas.
