Preparing for your college journey is exciting, but the checklist seems to go on and on. One major item that many families find at the top of that checklist is FAFSA or the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. - Contributor: A contributor is anyone providing information to your 2024-2025 FAFSA Application. Each contributor must have an FSA ID. Please note: if your parents are married and filed taxes jointly, only one FSA ID is needed.
- Student Aid Index or SAI: The term Student Aid Index or SAI has replaced the previously used term, Expected Family Contribution or EFC. Your SAI will be used by the colleges you’ve listed on your FAFSA Application to determine the different types of aid that you are eligible for. Your SAI number can range from –1500 to 99999.
- FAFSA Submission Summary: In your FAFSA Submission Summary, you can review your submitted 2024-2025 FAFSA Form, see when your FAFSA was sent to your listed colleges, find your SAI, review your aid eligibility, and so much more. Make sure you and your family go through your FAFSA Submission Summary after you submit your application.
