What to Wear

The dress code for the event is business casual/professional.

The following suggestions are drawn from the Student Style Guide.

Business Casual

Business casual is a dress code that varies by organization, but it's always better to be too formal than too casual.

Men:

  • Long or short-sleeved button-down shirt or polo shirt
  • Nice slacks or khakis
  • Matching socks and shoes
  • Optional tie or bowtie (no crazy patterns)
  • Loafers or boat shoes

Women:

  • Long or short-sleeved blouse or shirt with appropriate neckline (no plunging necklines)
  • Nice slacks or skirts (no crazy patterns)
  • Closed-toe shoes or dressy sandals
  • Nice purse

Business Professional

The goal of dressing business professional is to look the best you can.

Men:

  • Long-sleeved button-down shirt
  • Suit or slacks with matching jacket
  • Tie
  • Neutral colors (khaki, black, navy, gray)
  • Dark dress shoes and socks

Women:

  • Blouse or button-down shirt with appropriate neckline (no plunging necklines)
  • Pantsuit or blazer with skirt
  • Neutral colors (khaki, black, navy, gray)
  • Matching, closed-toe pumps or flats
  • Nice purse

What is VPD?

VPD provides valuable career services to all CTX students and alumni. Whether you're deciding a major, searching for a job or internship, or want to practice your interviewing skills, VPD exists to help you with anything career-related. The office provides tools to help you discover how to leverage your interests and talents toward meaningful work now and in the future.

As a Christ-centered university, Concordia's VPD approaches career advising holistically. Vocation - or calling - may be a certain career, but it also might mean a project or a leadership role on campus. A calling can also be as a student, a parent or a volunteer.

Make Sure to Register!

This is a limited-seating event, so it's important to register and secure your spot.
