  • I am a high school counselor. How can my students participate?

    High school counselors play a pivotal role in guiding students through their college decision process, and your participation in Tornado Preview Day is invaluable. To recognize their efforts, we’re offering a special promotion for counselors whose schools have the highest number of students in attendance. The winning counselor will receive a personalized gift and formal recognition from Concordia University Texas.

  • How is Tornado Preview Day for?

    Tornado Preview Day is for high school juniors and seniors to explore your college options and experience a university environment firsthand.

  • Can I attend Tornado Preview Day if I haven’t applied?

    Of course! Tornado Preview Day is open to any high school junior or senior.

  • Will I be able to connect with my Admissions Counselor at Tornado Preview Day?

    Yes, students and families will have the opportunity to connect with their dedicated Admissions Counselor at Tornado Preview Day to ensure you leave with all of your questions answered.

  • Will there be food at the event?

    Yes, students will enjoy lunch in our dining hall featuring an all-you-can-eat buffet.

  • Where should we park?

    Students and family members can park in Parking Lot B and will check-in for Tornado Preview Day in our Welcome Center.

  • What’s the parent or guest experience during Tornado Preview Day?

    Parents & guests are more than welcome to participate in Tornado Preview Day! You will get to experience what it will be like for your student(s) to attend Concordia Texas right alongside them.

  • I am not sure about missing school to attend Tornado Preview Day?

    We get it attending a college visit during the school day is a difficult decision. Many schools in the state of Texas allow high school juniors and seniors two excused absence days to visit a college campus. Be sure to check in with your High School Guidance Counselor for more information. Concordia Texas will also provide attendees with excused absence letters for missing school.

  • What should I bring to Tornado Preview Day?

    You aren't required to bring anything other than yourself! However, you are welcome to bring the following items: High School transcripts, notebook/ folder to take notes throughout the day if desired, and refillable water bottle.
