  • What programs are available in the School of Fine Arts?

At Concordia University Texas, the School of Fine Arts comprises three academic areas: Theatre Studies, Music, and a minor in Art. What's unique about our approach is that you do not need to major or minor in a fine arts program to participate. We offer a wide range of art-related activities, such as the University Singers, Symphonic Winds, and annual plays and musicals open to all students. This way, everyone can explore their artistic interests and get involved in our vibrant artistic community. Whether you're an aspiring performer, musician, or artist or simply someone who appreciates the arts, there is a place for you to explore your creativity and passion within our vibrant artistic community.

  • Do I have to be a major or minor in the School of Fine Arts to participate in events?

No. Concordia University Texas offers creative opportunities for all students, regardless of their major. From joining a music ensemble to participating in campus art events, everyone is welcome to express their creativity.

  • Do I have to audition?

Audition requirements vary by program. If you're interested in majoring in Music, please visit the specific program page for detailed audition information.

  • I am a High School Senior; can I sit in on a Fine Arts Class or come to a performance?

Absolutely! We recommend reaching out to your admissions counselor to schedule a classroom visit. For campus events, check the University event calendar to attend an upcoming music performance or art showcase.

  • Are your performances open to the community?

Yes. Many of our concerts and exhibitions are open to the public. Visit the University event calendar for details about upcoming Fine Arts events.
