Concordia University Texas holds commencement services three times per year. The fall term service takes place on the first Saturday in December. The spring term service takes place on the Saturday following the close of the term. The summer term service takes place on the first Saturday in August. Commencement details are subject to change.

 

Commencement Participation Criteria:

 

Undergraduate students may participate in the commencement service if:

  • the student has completed all of the requirements needed to graduate as outlined in the degree plan for their catalog year
  • the student is currently enrolled in or participating in all remaining classes during the semester that are required to graduate
  • the student has completed or is resistered for the CAAP exam
  • the student meets the minimum GPA requirement for the degree and the major

 

Graduate students may participate in the commencement service if:

  • the student has completed all of the requirements needed to graduate as outlined in the degree plan for their catalog year
  • the student is currently enrolled in or participating in all remaining classes during the semester that are required to graduate
  • the student meets the minimum GPA requirement for the degree

 

To participate in a commencement service, all students must:

  • successfully complete all degree requirements or will complete ALL degree requirements by the end of the term in which the student wishes to participate
  • register for the Graduation course during the indicated time frame
  • receive official notification (via CTX email) from the Graduation Office of their ability to participate
  • understand that outstanding financial obligations may prevent you from being permitted to participate in the commencement service.

 

Note: Late graduation registration or delayed submission of degree requirements may result in the student’s name being omitted from the commencement program and/or interfere with the student’s ability to purchase commencement regalia.
