Annie Ferrera, M.A., LPC is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary’s Biblical Counseling program. She is a clinical member of the American Counseling Association and the American Association for Christian Counseling. Annie is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. She is able to work with student’s struggling with many issues commonly faced on college campuses which include: depression, anxiety, loneliness, academic problems, relationship issues, disordered eating, and substance use. She also recognizes that many students enter college with previous hurts and stressors that can be exacerbated by the added stress of the college experience. Seeking help during the transition can be a life changing decision in which she would love to come alongside and offer support. Annie enjoys incorporating expressive arts into therapy with her clients. Expressive arts includes the use of a sand tray, writing and drawing to gain further insight or assist in allowing the client to fully express their emotions as they are related to their experience.
Rhea Ann Spiegel is the Administrative Assistant for Student Support Services and also the Testing Center Coordinator. She has served at CTX for 2 years and is a vital member of Student Support Services as well as the larger CTX community. Rhea Ann has a Bachelor’s in Education from the University of Texas. Rhea Ann taught Middle School Math for eleven years, ten of which were in the LCMS system. She also brings ten years of experience in retail and customer service. She enjoys working with CTX students and assisting them in order to achieve their goals academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Rhea Ann can assist students seeking to make an appointment for counseling if Annie is unavailable. Her office is conveniently located in the Library, office 216.
