A Message from the Dean
Welcome to Concordia University Texas’ College of Education! It is our mission to ensure that graduates of our programs are prepared to have a positive impact on the lives of the many individuals with whom they will work. Our nation’s schools need teachers and administrators who are Christian leaders modeling best practice in education. Likewise, our churches are seeking excellent Christian leaders who will help children, youth and adults grow stronger in their faith development. These are challenging professions but we stand ready to help you achieve your goals in these important and noble professions. As a teacher, administrator, or Director of Christian Education, you have the power to have a positive impact on your community, church and world.
The College of Education oversees the undergraduate teacher education program for both public school and Lutheran school certifications for early childhood through twelfth grade, as well as the Director of Christian Education program. Both of these programs provide preparation through a strong foundation in effective practices making them relevant in meeting the needs of schools and churches today.
Additionally, the College of Education also oversees the Master of Education degree with programs in Differentiated Instruction, Advanced Reading Literacy, Curriculum and Instruction with Teacher Certification, Sports Administration, and Educational Administration. The Educational Administration also offers principal's certification, and Instructional Leadership Development (ILD) and Professional Development and Appraisal System (PDAS) certifications.
