Rev. Dr. Jerry Kieschnick,Presidential Ambassador for Mission Advancement, was recently honored by LINC Houston for his role in helping launch the organization in 2002. Kieschnick served as President of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod for three terms prior to coming to Concordia in his current position. Also recognized at the event was Don Christian, Dean of the College of Business at Concordia, for his service on the board at LINC Houston for the past three years where he served as board chair.

LINC Houston began 10 years ago as congregations formed an organization through which they could collectively reach and impact the City of Houston. Their mission is to plant, nurture and equip groups of new believers in culturally diverse communities. They have helped meet the needs of more than 50,000 individuals, planted over 30 mission congregations and trained more than 100 leaders for ministry.
