Concordia University Texas announces the launch of the 3 Well Campaign, aimed at raising funds to build wells in rural Africa in partnership with Water to Thrive, a local organization dedicated to spreading awareness of the global water crisis and funding the construction of water wells for those who desperately need them in rural Africa. For each of the past five years, students, faculty, and staff have joined efforts to raise $5,000 to fund one well. Concordia University has had such great responses that the Service-Learning program has decided to raise the goal this year through the 3 Well Campaign.
This year, students, faculty/staff, and alumni are being challenged to pull resources to fund and sponsor three wells. The nature of this campaign is very competitive, and by April 26, 2013, Concordia University expects to have raised approximately $15,000 to build three new wells in rural Africa.
